A “sword thrust” is the word of God applied in battle out of your mouth. Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word (“rhema” or spoken word) of God. The battlefield is in the mind but the battle is won with the sword of the spirit. How often do you have a thought and do battle with it all day without once opening your mouth and speaking God’s word. The end of it is failure because the thought defeats you in the mind. YOU MUST OPEN YOUR MOUTH AND USE THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT! The use of the sword increases your faith because you are then "hearing" the word. The mind is part of the problem. To try to defeat your thoughts with your thoughts is an exercise in futility. The battlefield is in the mind and is won with the mouth!! |
